"I think folks will find the backdrop of this story quite unexpected, mischievously funny, and heartbreakingly human, for what has drawn Thanos back screaming into the universe is a singular pain and desire for connection that he believes only one essence in existence (and non-existence) can give him… while this being is in turn grappling with some deeper questions about what they are, and what they want to be. Plus, Thanos hot-wires a pickup truck." -- Christopher Cantwell

Gold Goblin #1

"I'll compare him to Victor [von Doom] because it's somebody I've written about the most in terms of villains. I feel like it's easy to find empathy for Victor. I thought it would be much harder to find empathy for someone like Norman because there's a revulsion with Norman. I mean, the Goblin identity itself is this kind of abject evil. I have been a little stunned at how I can immediately feel empathy for Norman, just as much as I do for Victor -- where you live in his head, and you're like, 'Yeah, I get it.' What a terrible, suffering existence this guy must have. I mean, this life of not just villainy, but cruel evil that he's inflicted on people... He's just awash in it. He doesn't want it, but he's trapped by it. It's too late. Or is it?" -- Christopher Cantwell

Regarding the Matter of Oswald's Body #1
Nov. 12th, 2021 05:14 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

"Where is Lee Harvey Oswald's body?
The Kennedy assassination is a rat's nest of conspiracy theories: mafia involvement, the second gunman, government cover-up... but the most important chapter of this sordid tale may just be the theory that the body buried at Oswald's Rose Hill gravesite is not actually Lee Harvey himself.
Meet the ragtag group of "useful idiots" who are unwittingly brought together to clean up the crime of the century -- a wannabe cowboy from Wisconsin, a Buddy Holly-idolizing (former) car thief, a world-weary Civil Rights activist ready for revolution, and a failed G-Man who still acts the part -- and specifically, regarding the matter of Oswald's body."

King in Black: Iron Man/Doctor Doom #1

“As Marvel's resident writer of armor-clad egomaniacs, it brings me so much joy to put Iron Man and Doctor Doom on the page together... This issue won't be just a battle royale -- at least, not between Tony and Victor. The two of them will once again be forced to reckon with their similarities to each other and difficult 'frenemy' status as they go up against one of the worst grotesqueries of Knull's infected Earth… Santa Claus." — Christopher Cantwell
