Khalid heads home by taking the subway, just trying to assure himself that everything is fine, even texting/calling his mom and girlfriend at points. However, as he waits for his subway car to show up, he hears a little girl crying, having fallen onto the tracks. He jumps down...





He leaves after that, still completely out of it. Suddenly, his cat, Puck, appears and starts talking to him, asking him to follow. Surrendering and deciding to just go with the flow, he follows the cat back to the museum...



There is a price for power, Khalid, and for seeing what lies beyond. I shall pay for gifting this to you... and you shall pay as well... FATE.







The issue then ends with us seeing Khalid's dad trying to drive this jackass to the airport during the middle of this huge storm. However...
