This is 21 year old Bruce before he gets into the cape and cowl and still trying to figure out the persona of what his avatar of vengeance should be. It is interesting seeing a young, angry Bruce who argues with Alfred and flips the finger to the Red Hood as he escapes after derailing his plans.
I’m interested in seeing how the dynamic of Bruce and the Red Hood plays out over the course of the next year before Bruce puts on the cowl.

Nigma gives Uncle Philip Kane advice that for him to have complete control of Wayne Enterprises. He must kill his nephew Bruce.

I like it best when they keep it ambiguous as to whether the Red Hood even existed - perhaps its simply another fevered delusion in the Joker's head, and has little to do with how he actually became who he is...
At most, have Bruce file it as a "possible connection, extremely tenuous" in the Batcomputer, with regards to where Joker came from.
