Wolverine really only has the one move. You know the one.

Well crap, if Cyclops survives, he's going to need months of painful recovery and...

Oh, never mind.

In Wolverine many crossover appearances. He met a taking cat living in a sky tower. Who grew magical beans to heal people. Wolverine learn how to grow those magical beans and use them for this special occasions.

Also face it Logan. You find any reason to stab scott.

Why does it look like on the cover art. That cyclops optic blast is giving everybody an orgasm?

Tomcat / Tom cat? They might want to think twice then, copyright issues aplenty there too.

Why yes. Even though the cat goes by many names. That name puurfectly fits the cat best. :)

If that's what you want to do with your retirement, good luck finding an accredited college that'll take you with your track record. The insurance premiums for campus buildings alone will have them think twice.

Scott had it rough in this story. First God-mode Storm froze his face off (No idea why he's perfectly fine) and he gets stabbed by Wolverine during a panic attack? Maybe now that Xavier's retired the Marvel office will stop writing him like a villain.

An incoherent, incohesive, jumbled mess of a crossover storyline that ended with a fizzle. The only reason it exists was to resurrect Lilandra and ship her and Xavier off into space in time for Hickman's Imperial series.

Worse, it managed to stumble through the penultimate issues of three different series, derailing them even as they frantically try to wrap up their ongoing arcs. (NYX, X-Force, and X-Factor, all cancelled at 10 thanks to the current editorial "You get 10 if lucky" policy.)

And why is everyone weeping and moping over Xavier flying off to the Shi'ar Empire? This isn't even the FIRST time he's fucked off to have a long holiday with Lilandra. Some characters COMMUTE from the Shi'ar Empire (lookin' at you, Samuel Guthrie.) The X-Men have access to half a dozen interstellar-range teleporters. And let's not even talk about all the other characters who've wandered off into space like it was the suburbs... (Kitty with the Guardians, Cyclops with the Starjammers, Jean right this moment...) It should have been a "Eh, see ya, be sure to write."

I swear-- at least half the titles have a competent or better writer, there was no excuse for this storyline to be as slipshod as it was. Though hey, at least it gave the Summers Brothers another excuse to have a brotherly throwdown because Scott and Alex simply can't get along.

I swear, as much as I want to like this era of the X-Men -- as much as I -do- like it -- there are just some elements which annoy me. Like the shameless pandering to lure back fans from the '90s, if Breevort's to believe...

And Prof X wasn't even imprisoned for a year (our time) before escaping. And even during that imprisonment, he got out during the Assault on Graymalkin crossover. Why even bother having him be locked up if that was going to be undone so quickly? May as well just have started off From The Ashes with him in space and spare us.

So, Cyclops is clearly correct: there is going to be tremendous fallout that will no doubt cost some (less important) mutants their lives as a direct result of Xavier's actions.

The question is, are we going to see a return of the "Cyclops was Right" t-shirts, or is old Chuck going to get a mulligan on this one?

no more of that. Mutant deaths are the fault of the villains

Agreed. Some individual bits were decent, but this was a mess and definitely ended on a whimper.

Not to mention how much of it was a result of Chuck just… not actually telling anyone why he was escaping in the first place.

This entire era feels like slipshod half-assed pandering to me. Uncanny is only passable because Gail Simone is that damn good.

It really feels like they're desperately trying to convince readers who were scared off by Krakoa that it's okay, everything's back to normal now. I never thought when it started that I'd miss the Krakoan Era so badly, but MAN I do. It was way more organized than this, and the most interesting thing they'd done with the X-Books since Morrison at *least*.

(Also I'm not going to cry over X-Factor being cancelled, that book's so bad I'm amazed it got past issue 2.)

Honestly the only part of this issue that rang true.

Dealing with pain and A-typical people is.....frustrating its fucking frustrating. "No honey just because your haven't lost a limb does not mean this isn't an 8 on the pain scale."

I don’t know about anyone else, but when I get a panic or an anxiety attack I usually just curl into myself and have a bit of a cry. They can definitely feel like a maelstrom but it’s all internal and not destructive to anyone other than myself. And I certainly wouldn’t appreciate if somebody came up and punted me in the solar plexus in the middle of it. I know he’s got optic blasts to deal with, but… come on, this is, like, one of the worst ways you could handle this sort of thing.

In this case, I think it's due to the overload of Cyclops' powers similar to what's affecting Magneto and the others over in the X-Men book rather than the 'panic attack' itself. Scott was worrying about it himself, and I don't think this book is doing a good job of explaining it.

Professor X has the Aunt May problem.

They've long since stopped being relevant but they're too important to the franchise to stay gone for very long.

But Chuck is worse because May doesn't constantly get people killed.

Is there any precedent to Scott's visor not containing his optic blast in times of extreme stress? I can't think of any off the top of my head. Between that and seemingly being totally fine after being gutted by Logan, I'm just... confused.

I would love a story about Scott having a panic attack and being comforted. Hell, I'd love to see him comforted by Logan! But this doesn't feel like it.
