Okay, that last line of dialogue from Venom is kind of awesome on so many levels. I'm somewhat torn, as Eddie Brock was always my favorite Spider-villain, but the humor of Anti-Venom is kind of rubbing on me.

Kinda hard to think of it as extreme when you're cringing at the imagined image of him accidentally biting it off whenever he tries to talk.

I think it's been established that the whole 'gigantic fanged mouth' thing is really more like a living mask covering his real face. In short, when Venom talks, it's really Eddie talking, which means it's his mouth and lips and so forth that are doing the dirty work - the slavering jaws and disgusting slime-laden tongue are just the symbiote's version of protective coloration, to keep its host disguised. I bet if you actually watched Venom talk, his jaw underneath the symbiote would be moving in sync with his words, but the external mouth would just be lolling around any old how.

it's always been made of symbiote or symbiote-like material.

Since the symbiote always blended or changed itself depending on or to match the person's thoughts, I figured some of the tongue would just change back into suit/symbiote material if it is pulled back into his mouth.

in the end, it's all that white stuff

The tongue is part of the (anti)-symbiote, and sybmiotes are fluid. This is always clear when a symbiote is not attached to a host.

No, I agree with you on Venom's tongue. I think it's one of the worst design additions to a character. (He didn't have it in his two first appearances and was the better off for it.)
