It turns on Harvey Dent's role in her life.
The story opens years after that, in a Gotham bar where the Electrocutioner's being congratulated on his upcoming marriage by his colleagues.
She's behind the bar, working.
She flashed back to her wedding, to Bruce Wayne's toast at the reception.

In the present, one of the Electrocutioner's friends paralleled Harvey's colleague in the past: " At some point, we need to talk business. "
" How many times..

Gilda's thoughts wandered back to her marriage to Harvey, and how her expectations'd gone unfulfilled thanks to the motive forces driving him.
She drilled down into ' that day.. [a] day I had no choice in, a car that crashed into our lives[..] ', when she'd barreled past Batman in a hospital to see " Harvey! "

' These men will take from you until you're nothing. And no one sees it. '
The Electrocutioner stumbled out of the bar - she followed him.
" You think I don't see you there, guy? "

" You're the #*%$@& bartender. " he said, facing her and her drawn gun.
" Consider this a wedding present for the bride-to-be. "
' We're casualties in [those men's] game. ' went her inner monologue, summing up what she'd taken away from her life with Harvey.
' Well, I say..

The Electrocutioner fell, crackling.

(" Gilda Dent, killer of about-to-be-married-people who make her think of Harvey " is a tantalizing hook.
