Psychiatrists are MDs. Just sayin'. Plus he would have the best background in neuroanatomy and neurphysiology in that team aside from Strange himself, who's a neurosurgeon. Jane and Faiza Hussein are Emergency Medicine specialists, Cardiac is a thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon with a bioengineering background, and Manikin is presumably a GP, since he gets introduced as an intern and we never see him pursue speciality training after that.
Btw, doesn't Hank McCoy have an MD degree? I remember Cassandra Nova compelling him to dump his diploma in his litter box.
Dr. Druid is indeed an MD, but he also seems like the creepy uncle who goes to his nephew's college graduation so he can make passes at co-eds. Plus, Strange is probably uncomfortable around a guy who's basically his beta version.
Look, at least they didn't try to recruit some other villainous doctors. Imagine grabbing Dr. Arthur Nagan... aka Gorilla-Man of the Headmen (a surgeon with a human head on a gorilla body.)
Leonard's not evil right now... but I'm not 100% sure you could call him good right now either, since he's supporting Banner and the Devil Hulk in their goals.
Druid is also appearing in Strange's book right now, and his being alive again is an object of concern.
I am surprised Jericho Drumm's been left out of this, though.
Didn't notice till now the Death of Deaths has multiple heads. So if it's the opposite of the Living Tribunal, what's he / she / it / they / [delete where appropriate] called? The Dead Tribunal?
(My, all gettin' kind of Discworld up in this comic.)
I love the visual short hand of using the Valkyrie sense to just outright tell readers that "yeah the D-Lister from Alpha Flight is the one most in danger of dying"
But Jason Aaron is the one who set up this status quo for Jane in War of the Realms... he gave her the All-Weapon and made her the new Valkyrie. So if anyone's to blame for "undoing the poignant ending of Jane!Thor" it's the same author who wrote that story in the first place.
Al Ewing just rolled with the character afterwards, and he's actually brought some interesting developments to her... now she's acting as a healer and protector rather than a warrior goddess, and she's more in tune with her human side even as she tries to find balance with her divine duties.
Agreed. I do hate that they killed off all the other Valkyries (including the classic one) but then again... Asgardians have a really bad habit of not actually staying dead so if/when it's time to bring them back, it's not as hard to justify as one might think.

"Dr. Druid?" "Psychiatrist and a bit of a dickhead. Next?"
"Dr. Doom?" "NO!"
"Dr. Mid-Nite?" "Wrong company."
"Dr. Octavius?" "Isn't he dead right now? Besides, wrong kind of doctor."
"Dr. Light?" "Again, wrong company. Okay for those who freelance, the ones from MARVEL only, please"
"Dr. Banner?" "Not that kind of doctor and NO!"
"Dr. Faustus?" "EVIL AND NO!"
"What about Manikin from Alpha Flight?" "Who?"

But Night Nurse probably doesn't have Len's current phone number.
