I...almost wished that Edgar Wright had gone with an Eric O'Grady movie. Though it probably would have ended up being a movie with far fewer notable POC or female characters with any sort of agency, as is his wont.
There's joke a tumblr friend of mine made some time back: "It’s not like Edgar Wright and Steven Moffat have especially dissimilar narrative aesthetics, outside the fact that one puts women and minorities in his scripts and the other is Edgar Wright."
