"We’re stunned and grateful that Robert Kirkman let us tell this particular story, which is firmly set in the continuity of his and Charlie Adlard’s beloved series. The Alien sheds light on a corner of their undead universe we never dreamed they’d let us reveal..." -- Brian K. Vaughan

Date: 2016-05-21 04:35 am (UTC)The story itself was well... Y the Last Man was a metaphor of a break-up, Saga was a metaphor of becoming a parent, The Alien seems to be the story of being young, independent and travelling. Fall in love, gain new experiences, etc.
There's an Eat, Pray, Love-ish element to this kind of story that's a bit iffy to me... I guess BKV tries to reverse that narrative a bit with the ending.
