S_D support

So some OTHER scans_daily support that hasn't been reported yet is from Naomi Novik and Justin Pierce. Naomi Novik is not a comic writer, but she does write a fantastic series called Temeraire and has recently put the entire first novel online for fans to read at http://naominovik.livejournal.com/37981.html.
Justin Peirce, for those of you who don't know, is the maker of Wonderella, he wrote on his talk box:
Sans Daily

Sorry to hear about what LiveJournal did to your site, scans_daily people. I was always cool with it when you pointed out one of my comics, and I will continue to be cool with it on the seventeen new sites you have probably already created.

The last comic is a bad Frank Miller impression. There are no whores in it!

The fifth scan is awesome. I could totally see that happening to one of the goofier superheroes.

What are you talking about? Wonderella's in it!

...I kid, I kid.. Please don't kill me Wonderella.

::choke:: I was gonna say that.

Ok, am I the only one who got the impression that Patrianna and the Judge are the same person?

I totally missed that!

Ah, Naomi Novik. It's so lovely when the people who write stuff you love are also people you can look up to.

Naomi's an old friend. It's always great to see someone make something of themselves, especially as she has. Her books remind me a lot of her DMing style...

"I have a cape!"

And that's why superheroes will be superior to fireman every time.

*starts petition for firemen to wear capes*

I demand links to the fifteen other sites! I have nothing to read because LJ is down and I am too tired to read stuff for work and not tired enough to sleep.

Naomi Navik? I've read her books before. I'm not a huge fan of her style and frankly Temeraire bugs me, but she's not bad, and I really like her worldbuilding. That's cool.

It was interesting to see her and GRR Martin go at it over fanfic on a panel a couple of years back, though.

My sister loves her books! Fandom is a small, small world.

It's not a terrible idea.

We were kinda too big in the old place. Right now, this com is like a herd of elephants through my feed.

I know the mods are tinkering with the Dreamwidth project, but what about diversification? We started with slash and kept broadening our scope. There's some people who would probably like a narrower focused com, to replace or in addition to this one.

I'll admit, I never clicked on the Wonderella entries before.

But that guy is classy!
