I will enjoy my old stuff. But anyone who enjoys this malevolent, horrific distortion of someone else's work? Yeah, I can't understand that. I'm not talking about whether or not a work is "valid" - I could care less about which version of continuity the copyright janitors (they are not creators - they are simply maintenance staff on other people's work - why should they create their own material? DC and Marvel have shown through their history exactly how well they reward that - ask Kirby's heirs, or Starlin's, or any of a thousand others) are promoting this week (when they aren't changing their minds inbetween tweets). I'm talking about anyone who needs to see more corpses and blood and just ugly, ugly work in the superhero medium. Yeah, I want nothing to do with those people and that fandom.

Which is probably why anyone with a decent idea doesn't give it to Marvel or DC anymore and you're stuck with the 85th watered down iteration of the same story.

I suppose complete decay of anything resembling anything artistic or of ethical value for the sake of gore is a small issue to some. Not to me. If those people are insulted, well, judging by the sales, it's a very very small group of people whom I don't have a problem offending as I don't want anything to do with them.
