Okay I giggled when I saw him lay one on Caps jaw like that. He didn't take his head off so at least he was holding back???
Dunna about Noh-Varr. But whatever his old characterisation was, it was better than what Young Avengers has given him. I'm surprised no one has called foul, but I guess no one really cares. Which is fair enough. Though he better not say 'hater'. I like his new beard though.
Though it's worth noting that he had every right to have a chip on his shoulder since his ship was destroyed by humans (IRRC) and they then captured him and tried to torture him for information and Kree technology.
Haha, very true, though I was being vague out of laziness. Though I' a fan of writers working with what they're given, in terms of characterisation rather than just throwing it all out.
Characters are people with personalities, personalities are fluid and change when enough pressure is put upon them. If Gillen really wanted Noh-Varr to be a space-hipster, I wish he'd at least put the page work in to do it.
Everyone likes Motown. I couldn't listen to it for ages because the hits were so ubiquitous when I was in college in the mid 80s. I still can't listen to I Heard It Through the Grapevine.
We're given a distinct impression that he loves earth because it's new and shiny, and maybe because one else on his planet knows that yet. So yeah, hipster.
I'd love to see the issue where he becomes a villain because loving earth is too mainstream now.
"I was there before it got all corporate, this place called Australia? You've probably haven't heard of it... it was, like, *the* place to be. But I've totally gotta destroy it now so no one knows I used to hang there."

So why did Namor make him kiss the concrete?

One does NOT tell Imperius Rex to put on pants.

But that personality ceased to exist when Bendis got ahold of him. So Gillen's "cosmic hipster" take is as good as any, I suppose.

I think you have it in a nutshell why nobody cares.

Best supervillain ever.
"Sorry Earth, you're too mainstream now. It's time for you to die."

Isn't this from the period when Noh-Varr was wearing shorts that only went down to the middle of his thigh? People in glass houses...
