Zatanna joins Wonder Woman and teleport them to Metropolis.

You know the Superman is really Ultraman theory is not a far-fetched scenario now. Also nice how each team have a Trinity of Sin joining them. The Superman team have The Question, Batman Team have The Phantom Stranger and know doubt after a bit of fighting...Pandora is going to be on Wonder Woman's team.

hmmm i have to admit, this Trinity war is interesting.

and it's not a war with the Trinity of Sin, or the three Justice Leagues, but technically a war with the Trinity themselves (superman. batman, wonder woman) as they split and take different pieces of each league with them....

I notice there's two cards we can't see from this shot... one of them the mole?

Don't know, but the labels on Vibe, Atom and Green Lantern's cards are not readable in addition to the ones we only see the back of.

Well, at least there's more to this arc than superheroes punching each other. Might give it a chance now.

So any hints as to who tall, pale and bony is? I don't recognize them as a character from the old DCU

The recurring rumour is that it's the Outsider, Alfred's evil alter-ego from Earth-3 (Where the Crime Syndicate come from)

It is the outsider, we get a card of him with that name,I have no idea if it is an alternate Alfred but in justice league someone was able to break into the batcave to steal some kryptonite and the scanners recognized them as someone with authorization to be there so it might be

And it's looking more and more that I was on the right track when I made my "Superman has been replaced by Ultraman" theory in last week's JLA #6 thread.. We've got:

*Superman saying how he can "feel" that something has been done to him, which we're supposed to believe is the result of whatever Dr. Psycho did to him. Well of course it is--because Dr. Psycho is likely the guy who used his telepathic powers to make Ultraman believe he's Superman, probably with Ultraman's consent. This also explains why he almost loses control again in this issue and has to tell himself how he's still in control--because his real persona emerges whenever he gets attacked.

*We have Firestorm pointing out how Superman illness is getting worse, suggesting it can't be the result of Dr. Psycho, which, of course, everyone, including the Question, ignores. Again, as long-time DC fans know, Ultraman gets his strength from Kryptonite. Which leads to...

*Firestorm being able to create Kryptonite. This is definitely going to be the Chekov's Gun down the road, I think, in which Superman will probably turn on his new teammates once they face Dr. Psycho and Firestorm creates Kryptonite in order to stop him--only to find out that it heals Superman and makes him stronger, thus revealing his true identity as Ultraman.

Of course, much of the Outsider's plan is also being helped by Wonder Woman being incredibly obtuse and overly-aggressive because her love for Superman; the Question, being so desperate to "stop the questions" being oh so close to the truth and yet still missing the mark; and Amanda Waller short-sighted attitude towards capes in general that's made even the team she's commissioned unable to trust her.

That would make me buy all the Trinity War issues & Forever Evil.

So I really hope it's not true, my wallet can't take all that extra abuse. XD

If it is Ultra-Man and Alfred, then that adds yet another layer to the "Trinity War" title, as they come from Earth "3"... Three Justice Leagues, three sinners and the three most powerful heroes, against each other and an enemy from the THIRD earth. I like it.

I'm pretty sure Dr. Light isn't dead whether they're looking for his soul or not. He could easily still be the mole. Maybe he's disguised as one of the security guys around Waller.

Wasn't it thing like, a couple issues ago, that the new Atom was a mole for the JLA? I feel like stories should have a one mole limit.

The problem with this story -like many of the stories coming out of DC in the last fews - is that it is moving too fast and there are many character beats missing. Johns in JL and JLA should have built up to this point over a longer period of time (remember the JLA: Obsidian Age - that stuff took over a year) instead of rushing to the middle.

What about the spin-off series 'Justice League:Whack-A-Mole" coming soon? If Earth 3 guy has a mole in the JL (and he didn't specify which one, did he?) , it's likely a Crime Syndicate member we already know (for the 'A-HA!' factor), and now I'm looking at who's out of character r not speaking. Maybe Flash?

While things are picking up and more interesting...I have to say..what the fuck? That one panel where Batman mentions working together and that this is not about taking sides made so much goddamn sense, yet..why the hell are people intent on fighting and taking sides? Honestly that just frustrated the hell outta me.

Yeah, they just did a dumb thing: separate and picking sides. They should stop a little and see what the hell is going on. Wonder Woman is so worried about her boyfriends that is rushing things and creating tension, Batman is trying to be reasonable.

I miss the days when heroes didn't have to be roid raging morons in order to make the plot move on. "NO TIME FOR TALKING OR THINKING! ONLY FIGHTING! ACTION MUST HAPPEN NOW! I FIGHT BEST FRIEND BECAUSE HE DISAGREES ON BEST WAY TO HELP OTHER BEST FRIEND! BEST FRIEND NOW ENEMY BECAUSE HE NOT IN TOTAL AGREEMENT!" This is not how people, any people, act.
