scans_dailyCaptain Marvel goes to Khandaq to spread out Black adam ashes. He feels guilty for his death and thought this would be the best way to ease his conscience by give him a proper funeral.
The Khandaq army attacks him and Billy gets annoyed by the ammunition thrown at him. But before he can do anything else, Superman comes along and super speed punches him. Bill regains his footing and punch Superman back and excitedly surprise about his powers to do that to man of steel. Superman recovers from the punch and super speed bum rushes Captain Marvel .
The Justice league of America shows up on the scene surprising the Justice league. Both groups get into a argument of course over which group going to handle Captain Marvel.
So the trinity war begins with Doctor light "death" being the catalyze for it to happen.
The issue ends in a all out double page brawl between the Justice league of America and the Justice league.

Date: 2013-07-11 03:38 am (UTC)I give Judd Winick a lot of heat for some of the stuff he's written but his Shazam: First Thunder story was VERY good (the less said about the Freddy/Shazam era the better though) and the best thing about was Superman's reaction to finding out Captain Marvel is a scared little KID. He immediately goes off his superior high horse and is rightly horrified.
That's a scene they should have in the DCnU as well.
