scans_dailyDC has announced, over on CBR, that Keith Giffen, JM DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire are re-uniting for an ongoing series....

Apparently this is "a more militaristic Superman"
I like that she's a bit more solidly built
What is it with DC and black and red these days? Did they over-order stocks of it or something? Is the real reason for the launch of the DCnU that they wanted to reduce their stockpile?
I quite like this design. A lot of fans are hoping this is the DCnU Wally West.... not sure about that myself.
So Cloak became a Green Lantern did he?
I'm a little disappointed that we only have ONE female member (so far) a Superwoman instead of a Superman might have been nice, or a female Flash or Green Lantern... This just seems... too similar in line up to the current JL.

Date: 2013-06-18 05:11 pm (UTC)I tend to think Superman plays down his powers so he doesn't *terrify* the population. Maybe that's not as necessary in the future, but there's still likely an awareness that the guy could literally *break the planet* if he so decided, and his public persona is (was?) designed to keep people from consciously thinking about that.

Date: 2013-06-18 05:55 pm (UTC)I'd say that depends on how these takes on GL, WW and Bats all function individually. This Batman might be more light hearted, this Wonder Woman might look tougher, but be a better diplomat than we expect etc etc
You may well be right of course, but my Blue Lantern ring is at full capacity!
