In 1968 Marvel created a fantastic character called Yuri Brevlov, who was basically the USSR's Nick Fury. He and Fury had a Team Up in the Incredible Hulk. It was awesome. Then, Marvel pretty much forgot about him (I could only track down a small appearance in the 80s).

Marvel needs to bring this man back. I will show you why.
The first half of these scans are from The Incredible Hulk 106, which introduces Brevlov and gives you a sense of his character. In 107 the Team Up Fun begins.
The basic setup is that last issue Communist China discovered a formerly frozen prehistoric man who had been exposed to and awoken by radiation exposure. Unable to control the beast created by the radiation, they secretly shipped him to New York City to wreak havoc on the US.
Bruce Banner is already there Hulking Out, so the two start to fight. General Ross calls in Nick Fury to help contain the Hulk, but another helicarrier beats Fury to the scene and scoops up the two fighters....

Eventually the Hulk breaks out of captivity and starts tearing up Brevlov's helicarrier. He ends up outside on the hull, but it's too far a jump down to the surface. Brevlov goes out after the Hulk.

Brevlov's comrades "help" by taking a smaller ship out and taking potshots at the Hulk, which unfortunately adds to the chaos. Things get worse when the Radioactive Beast Man (who's still inside) becomes unstable and dies/explodes/(just accept it people) and rips a massive hole in Brevlov's helicarrier. Hulk and Brevlov go flying.

Hulk finds a child in the rubble.

So issue 107 rolls round. Brevlov's taken some shots at Hulk, who is unscathed but pissed and is now attacking the ship. Brevlov is urged to step up the level of attack, and he again waffles over killing the Hulk.
Just as he decides he'll have to take out the Hulk (and probably the child Hulk is still carrying) to save himself and his crew, Nick Fury shows up and shoots down Brevlov's ship. Hulk takes the opportunity to start smashing up the ship, sending Soviet men flying.

While Fury and Brevlov get reaquainted, the Mandarin captures the Hulk (I'm guessing Hulk was lurking somewhere near the USSR/People's Republic of China border). Not wanting to be left out of the cool kids' club, the Mandarin sets about doing what every other Marvel villain attempted in the 1960s: he tries to turn the Hulk into his own mind-controlled weapon. He unleashes the Hulk on the Chinese military, hoping to trigger a world war.

Before long, Brevlov and Fury learn that The Mandarin is behind the Hulk's rampaging. They launch a two man attack on the villain's stronghold.

No longer under The Mandarin's control, Hulk comes out of his mind controlled fog and is pissed...but in the meantime:

The Mandarin soon shoots down our two intrepid heroes.

OMG the suspense.

Suddenly, Hulk crashes through the wall, destroying the deadly laser in the process!

And...that's the last of Brevlov. No goodbyes or hugs with Nick Fury. That's his last appearance.
Hulk goes on to smash The Mandarin's stronghold...

...and walks off into the sunset.
That's the one downer in this storyline. It's not really a flaw, because this IS Hulk's book. The aftermath is up to your imagination. Personally I like to think there was an epic vodka party back at Brevlov's base, until the higher ups came and shut it down and sent Fury and his SHIELD friends home.
