Like the Phoneix and Empress, and love the Jamal Igle Nightwing (Mr Igle is a delight, isn't he? :) )

So basically, Jamal and JJ were at the tables next to each other. The entire time Jamal was drawing, my friend and I were making Dick jokes while Jamal was trying his hardest not to crack up. JJ chimes in that Jamal should draw boxes around his stuff. My friend and I were all "ha, we get it. A Dick in a box." So the next day, I ask JJ for a sketch cos you know, he's a good artist and the joke was funny. So he asked what I want and I said, a Dick in a box to keep the joke running. He starts drawing an actual penis in a box and hilarity happens before we clear things up. One of his friends now has the penis in a box. ;)

Nice stuff. Especially the Starfire. So, naive as I am, how do sketches at conventions work? I have only been to one and just got artists/writers to sign books I had. Do you just have to wait in line? Is there a fee?

Prices vary from artist to artist. Some take a list at the beginning of the day, some will just have you wait in line. Some people who don't do commissions like Dustin Nguyen will just give you a quick free head sketch when you buy something from them.
