Acting lessons with Hercules

Meanwhile in Avengers Academy, the teens of Avengers & X-Men continue to be the smartest people in the whole event. Shaw turns out not to be meaning to kill anyone (what a twist.) and X-kids and Academy students united make a plea to their teacher that the X-kids should be allowed to make their own choice and stand how they will in this event.











And Surge even apologies to Laura for past nastiness! And a gratuitous panel of Laura and Sooraya hugging.

They weren't the Runaways' guardians either. They still keep letting bunches of teenagers run off to get themselves probably-killed. And if the X-Kids were there as prisoners, then the Academy teachers are doing an even worse job. "Oh, we want to let you go, but we don't want your guardians to bitch at us, so we should throw this big fake fight and let you go". What a great example for the Avengers Academy kids!

Didn't really have issue with the way they compromised with the Runaways either.

Meta-wise, I know they did it because the Runaways have to keep being runaways. In-story, I don't really buy "putting yourself in the other person's shoes" changing Tigra and Pym's thoughts about Molly and Klara needing more stability and schooling.

... true. But they pushed for giving them schooling on the Runaways' terms. I kind of dug that.
