Meanwhile in Avengers Academy, the teens of Avengers & X-Men continue to be the smartest people in the whole event. Shaw turns out not to be meaning to kill anyone (what a twist.) and X-kids and Academy students united make a plea to their teacher that the X-kids should be allowed to make their own choice and stand how they will in this event.

If only I hadn't had to cut the actual scenes from the movie he appeared in in the old "New Mutants" issue, I think I could show that Sophocles was probably bombed out of his mind when he said nice things about Herc's acting abilities.

Greek theatre is really expressive. Like, "soap opera is subtle" expressive.
Hercules delivers only the most gripping of performances.

My guess is that the X kids wanna sneak off, but the Avenger guys aren't supposed to let them sneak off, but they feel bad for keeping them there, so they're having a pretend fight and letting the X kids win for the cameras so they can let them sneak off.

I like that the conflict ended pretty smoothly. And Julie Powers continues to be my favorite. And Gage is surprising good with tie-ins. The Fear Itself one was really good too. Although I really haven't liked his X-Men Legacy tie-in nearly as much as I do this one.

Wow, between this and the Runaways thing, the Avengers Academy teaching staff pretty much suck as guardians. "oh, you don't want to be here? You want to go and be on your own where a wide variety of terrible things could happen to you? Okay, have fun!"

I swear, I want to take all of the under-eighteen heroes and put them somewhere where there are adults that are actually going to look after them and their mental and physical health.
