Greetings True Believers!

Normally I don't swim in the DC pool but I couldn't resist this time.

We've had a lot of Batman/Joker posts with the horrible things the Clown Prince of Crime has done and what should be done with him.

It reminded me of this Robot Chicken skit (Mark Hamill FTW!).

Enjoy!

Plus a funny of image of the Dark Knight I found.

I love Robot Chicken. Tasteless and they have an impressive memory.

Ha.

Plus this image. I like it. If a normal ever comes up to you and says, "You're a grown man/woman/entity and you read comic books? Go to comic book conventions? You have over 10 comic book related t-shirts?"

Just smirk and think of this image.

Thor approved.

I've always assumed that the Joker is essentially immortal and that the only man that can kill him is Batman--who won't. It would certainly explain all the times the Joker has cheated death.

Believe it or not, that's been my exact explanation for years...neither of them know this, however.

Same here. I mean, he got shot in the spot of the head and brain where all the involuntary functions of his body (breathing, heart beating, blood pressure regulation, ect.) would cease to happen. And then he came back with a cool bullet shaped scar on his head and the ultimate troll grin on his face? "U mad?", well maybe not mad, but uterly boggled

Joker sold his soul for something. And it might not have been a cheese sandwich. Besides, the only place with a bigger revolving door than that damn Asylum is hell. Neron would have him back on the street in the time it took to say it, if only because he doesn't want the Joker down stairs to cause him grief.

Is there proof that he did? Ps. I'd love to see Joker bugging the heck out of Neron

He sold his soul same time a bunch of other villains, including the trickster did. Luthor used the deal to beat cancer.

Actually, Trickster didn't sell his soul. And Lex sold his soul for a healed body (his was in pretty bad shape after a few mind transfers and whatnot), and boy was Lex pissed when he realized that he'd sold himself short.

I think if the Joker sold his soul for something useful, it sort of wastes the sheer glorious insanity of the notion that he'd sell his soul just for kicks.

Okay, can someone explain the skit to the poor shmuck who lives in Canada and can't watch videos on American Adult Swim?

After Joker's latest crime, Batman beats up Joker, but refuses to kill him. Joker then says, 'That means I win! I get arrested, sent to jail, escape, and kill again!' and all that.

Batman ponders what to do, and comes up with an idea.

Cut to court. Batman helped testify during the trial, and they sentence Joker to death.

Batman comments to the Joker the decision's out of his hands.

This is my response to the "It's Batman's fault Joker keeps killing people," thing.

He hands Joker over, repeatedly, to an institution that does kill people. That they don't, and continue to chose not to, isn't his fault. Apparently the GCPD's cops, the courts, the juries, and the prison guards have all taken the exact same stance.

So yea, when the entire city apparently all have made the same choice on the matter, it's hard to blame the person who at least locks him up regularly.

Yea, but at no point does someone become responsible for a fire for not fighting it "enough".

And considering Batman has very few constraints *other* than the not-killing rule, it's probably overall a very good thing that it's in effect.

He wouldn't have to even bend it if the judicial body legally empowered to execute people exercised it's authority.

Bruce Wayne doesn't trust his judgement on who lives and who dies on shades beyond 'all'. To him, it's still a line that's be very damaging to his code to break, and "Batman" is based on such things.

From: [personal profile] baxter2814
I agree. It's more than just a code to him, it's a line that he feels he personally has no right to cross because he feels if he does he will be just like the criminals. It's not quite like the no-kill codes of other superheroes, which are based more on the logic of killing = murder = wrong =/= heroic, which isn't an absolute.

Pretty sure Joker would be a federal criminal/threat to national security and killed by the Army at some point, reguardless of Gothams stance on the death penalty, tbh.

Actually, I think the state has put him to death a couple times now, but he whipped up some chemicals that allowed him to survive the executions. Once by electric chair and once by lethal, but I might be wrong about that second one.

Admittedly I know death is a revolving door in comics, but that doesn't explain why he hasn't been shot- in excessive multiples, in the brain and vital organs, then had his body burned and the ashes scattered.

in DC that won't be perminant, but it could at least buy the world 6 months to a year.

I mean as a vigilante, doesn't he handle problems we can't or won't?-

Can't, maybe, but they can deal with Joker.

He's not the one to decide on ones the people actively decided against, though.

A soaked sponge needs to be in place on the head when a criminal is given the chair, unless you want them to go through a very painful death.

Aw, although I can't see the video there, I know which one it was.

Despite everything, I did feel a little bad for the Joker when the guard assumed that the Joker saying that "Jesus loves me!" was a joke.

...I mean yeah, the Joker is the sort of person who'd say it in an ironic sense, but here it seemed sad.
