4 pages from three different stories. This surprisingly turned out to be one of the most talked about books this week at my local comic shop.

Ok in our first story "A Thrown of My Own" (written by Heather White and artist Jeff Stokley)Red dares Gobo to spend a night in the Gorg's Garden. Junior Gorg meanwhile decides to pretend to be king.

Naturally the other Fraggles know how to respond to this situation.

Our first back-up story is Time Flies by Katie Cook. The Fraggles find a pocket-watch and Red decides to make a game out of it.

Finally in Red's Big Idea (art & story by Jeffrey Brown) Red and Cotterpin team up to build an invention that will change Fragglekind forever. You'll have to buy the book to find out what it is.

BWAHAHA! The "don't panic. please don't panic," scene just made my night. Thank you.

If anything, it makes me wonder: if someone tells you to "Panic!", will you panic by default or end up doing to opposite by remaining calm? =)

Personally, I think if someone told me to panic, I'd be more confused than anything else. Conversely, when someone is telling you NOT to panic, that means there is a reason why you'd be panicking, which means you start doing it.

I think that's why authorities always just tell you to Stay Calm.
The word panic is considered a "trigger word" of some sort.

Then again, that never seems to work, either. The time when people are telling you to stay calm is almost always the point when everyone is already running around like headless chickens. A better thing to say might be 'START being calm'.

Oh, wow. I loved this show when I was a kid and even still have a couple dolls. Mokey has lost her robe, though, and Wembley's going bald. Heh.

These scans are really sweet, and with a good sense of humor! I had no idea about this, thanks for sharing.

Haha, maybe! I wouldn't know so I will trust what you say. But I meant my dolls had lost a robe and were going bald ;)

I totally watched this show as a kid. And now whenever my dog walks behind something and all I can see is his white fluffy tail bouncing back and forth, I start singing the theme song.

Oh...my. Usually I don't like Muppet art. It never looks right. I cringed at the Fraggle Rock cartoon. But this...this is beautiful! I need this!

Fraggle Rock cartoon.

Which, while good, was nowhere NEAR as awesome as the "live-action" show.

My uncle has a dog. The moment I saw him I said "woe, he looks just like Sprocket" and then wondered for 10 minutes what/who the hell is Sprocket. and then I remembered :D Some things stay with you forever.

Can't say the art really thrills me overall, although the first one seems to capture the spirit of the show best. Writing seems pretty true, though.

My brother actually did some work with the lighting guy on the original show, back when he was studying television at Reierson. My jealousy knows no bounds.

The inking is not particularly good in the first couple of pages. The strong outlines are making everything look flat and two dimensional.

I think my biggest issue with the first one is how odd Mokey looks. She seems WAY older than the rest, not just tall and spacey.

She's always been my favourite Fraggle, so I kinda want her to get some respect.

The moment of panic is really true to the spirit of the original though, gotta give credit there.
