Oliver vs Carter! Because politics is not the only thing they fight about.
big_daddy_d wanted to see some GA/HM fist fight. Here you go!
From Green Arrow volume 3, issue #12/13:
10 years after he sacrificed his life to save Metropolis, Oliver comes back from the dead and wants to resume his relationship with Dinah. Carter, who's kinda glad to see his old "pal", gives some advice about dating/romancing, and suggests to take things slow.

Care and caution? Not rushing into anything? Right.... Dinah and Ollie have dinner, then decide to screw it all. And I mean litteraly.

And here we go...

You cheated on her twice and she married you anyway, so I guess that's true.
Anyway, apparently Oliver doesn't want to let it go, because next thing you know, he's in St Roch to start a fight about... Hawgirl.
Payback? Granted, he was there to catch a murderer who was using his GA identity, but well, how could he resist a little bird teasing?
From Hawkman volume 4, issue 5.

They stop fighting when Carter realizes that Ollie is not the murderer. They talk.

I really like the Hawkman/Hawkgirl couple (at least when HG was Kendra. Blackest night, i hate you!) and I find the reincarnation thing cute, but Ollie is right. I mean, Carter does take Kendra for granted. He just expects her to be in love with him from the start. No questions, no conditions, just hop in bed, baby! For someone who's supposed to be such a romantic, it's terrible to realize that the last time he wooed his soulmate was in the 15th century. And now that Shiera is back, it's not going to change any time soon...

Date: 2010-04-27 11:42 am (UTC)Then he slept with Jeff Pierce's niece (who was murdered after that). He was already back with Dinah, but he slept with Joanna anyway. He tearfully admited it to Mia, but refused to discuss it with Conner, who already knew about it.

Date: 2010-04-27 01:38 pm (UTC)As for Ollie and Dinah. I'm not as down as some on GA (hate the way he's often written) but Dinah dumped a great guy (near perfect) in Doc Mid-nite just because Ollie came back and what does he do to her (AFTER the scene above) - has a one-night stand with Black Lightning's niece (for no reason!) and then sleeps with a teammate's wife (Dawn, wife of Manitou Raven). If your GF was Black Canary why would you be so stupid? And why would she marry him knowing this?

Date: 2010-04-28 09:56 pm (UTC)Yeah, maybe little too benign/altruistic for Ollie. but even I give him a break occasionally.
