Gotham City Sirens 7 - 'absent friends'

I have a question about this image from Gotham City Sirens #7, and it's probably due to my inability to keep continuity straight in my head amongst the umpty-gazillion Batbooks going on right now. Help me out gang?

Dick and Selina are having a last holiday toast by the fire before Damian drags Dick out to hunt the "animal out there killing runaway kids" (see Batman #694, I believe):

OK, Bruce and Tim, fairly obvious - presumed dead and off in Europe refusing to presume; Holly Robinson, offscreen somewhere trying to live down the shame that was Countdown; Baby Helena, adopted out; Harley and Ivy, off holidaying outside Gotham, as detailed in the other plot threads in this issue (see here for Harley's holiday hijinx).

But why is Alfred an Absent Friend? Last time I checked in with Outsiders, he was going to be running the team from the Cave/Manor, with Halo at least living at Wayne Manor. Has that changed? Is he off on a mission I've missed?

One panel from Gotham City Sirens #7 under the cut, not my scan, we've had 3.5 pages so far which brings us to just over 4 pages don't make me add fractions!.

Tag suggestions: char: alfred pennyworth, char: batman/bruce wayne, char: batman/dick grayson, char: catwoman/holly robinson, char: catwoman/selina kyle, char: harley quinn/harleen quinzel, char: poison ivy/pamela isley, char: robin/red robin/tim drake, creator: david lopez, creator: paul dini, publisher: dc comics, title: gotham city sirens (whew!)

All that was probably a cover up for the fact that he masturbated to her during his puberty years. (Come on, pubescent boy...big breasted woman in a catsuit...yeah.)

BRONSAN?!!

Tim, you have absolutely no taste.

(Assuming he's talking about the Bond Franchise)

Well, it could be worse. He could've picked Moore!

Roger Moore was ALRIGHT as Bond in my opinion but Connery, Dalton and Craig are the best.

Haha! That's terrible.

Still a pretty fabulous fluffy collar though, you have to admit.

Given Tim's age, he probably grew up with the Bronsan movies. I did, so I can't see anyone else as Bond. *shrug*

I grew up with Bronsan as well but I changed my mind after seeing the Connery and Dalton era and finally Daniel Craig's debut. However, Bronsan remains as a Memetic Sex God in my eyes.

I don't like Craig's movies so far. Maybe the series is going through a period of adaption distillation, but I prefer Bond when he's big and loud.

And I was never that keen on Dalton, either, although I liked Dalton over Moore.

But no, I'm all about Pierce. Oooh.

There was a running gag back in the late '90s about how Tim's taste in movies leans toward the recent. It was a way of highlighting his youth.

This image is from a Secret Origins 80-Page Giant issue focusing on Young Justice, if I recall right.

Yeah, I have seen that before too, and I too wish that I knew where it was from.

Really Dick? Catwoman or Poison Ivy... like its a contest. You would think that he'd be able to able to come up with something better than that. haha.

Indeed he would...and would probably have something to say about Tim's (assuming) Bind tastes as well...

Isn't it sort of a running joke with Tim that he knows nothing from before 20 years ago? (Except the Marx Brothers, of course.)

Mixed feelings about this because it's always nice to see Dick and Tim bond (haha) but something about this has always bugged me a little. I don't know if it's the datedness of the Brosnan/Connery reference or the subject matter and two sons personally rating dad's possible love interests or the fact that Dick is holding up Ivy as a viable interest and the game seems to be a little... more than I'd think sons would wish to discuss about their dad's personal life but--okay for me it's the last two things but anyway: I think the scan itself is from Young Justice Secret Origins.

I don't think they're rating their dad's love interests so much as female villains they fight.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that's actually from a Young Justice Secret Files and Origins one shot.
