... almost certainly said this before, and will almost certainly say it again, but the notion that everyone's got a little dark in them is just not quite the blisteringly hot take Claremont seems to think it is.

And it's not like they were anyone who mattered. Much.
Comparatively, because not having to go on a berserk rampage is practically Wolverine's default state, Storm's darker impulses are more shocking and her heroically resisting them is that more impressive. Maybe.
... though from the looks of it, her dark impulses are "switch to all leather", "get a mohawk" and "stab Callisto". (And probably also hanging out with Yukio.)
If making Kitty cry is the worst her dark impulses can unleash, no wonder Malice can't get a foothold.
