But older Scott and younger Scott are the same person. It’s been a plot point at least twice now that Cyclops remembers his time on the Champions and his friendships with everybody, so he’d also remember the time him and his dad spent quality father-son star trekking together, and there was that arc not too long ago in Duggan’s X-Men about Corsair getting infected by the Brood which led Cyclops on an attempted genocidal rampage out of grief.
I think older Scott might not be as forgiving as younger Scott at the time. It's not perfect having old memories jammed in and present Scott would still reflect and have to think "How much do I trust Dad again"
Also Scott to me as always struck me as bitter that time with his kids was taken away by circumstances. Krakoa was pretty good at showing Scott wanting to be a dad as much as he could and part of that might be from not thinking much of his own.
Honestly, I'd think Scott losing his time with his kids would make him more empathic towards Corsair. It's not like Corsair meant to abandon his sons. He was kidnapped to another galaxy and by the way he had a way home, they were adults.
Older Scott has certainly had all he can take of terrible father figures.
Teen Scott just doesn't know better. He hasn't spent nearly as long thinking his dad abandoned him; he just found out his "dead" dad is alive and wanting to go on adventures. Plus he was still drinking the Kool-Aid and never got to see what Professor X became.
