1. Everyone on the island is an android being mentally controlled by captured kids ala "Surrogates."
2. Arcade is somehow raising the fallen teens from the dead for some underhanded reason. Either he plans to bring everyone back at the end of the "season" and start again, or the maybe surviving kids are going to have to fight their teammates.
