They fought in the Silver Age way back when. SS, powered up by Loki, couldn't beat Thor. And in the Infinity Watch arc, Thor didn't have the power gem when he beat SS (and Beta Ray Bill and Warlock). Thor only had the gem after SS and Warlock retreated, and after he stomped both Maxam and Drax by himself.
Every fight, Thor's come out on top. SS' bag of tricks is bigger, but Thor can sidestep them with his hammer and hit SS with powers he can't defend against. It's just a bad match up, really.
Kinda like SS vs. Hulk. SS' has always beaten the Hulk at full power, yet Thor never has. That's because SS' preferred tactics, fighting from a distance and manipulating energy are things Hulk can't defend against, and Thor can't or won't do with Hulk, but aren't effective tactics against Thor himself.
