In the comments to these weekly posts (and only these posts), it's your chance to go as off topic as you like.
Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.
The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.
Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.
It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.
The world situation is the world situation. If you're following the news, you know it as much as I do, if you're not, then there are better sources than me.
A happy Hallowe'en to those participating, a happy quietly sitting in with a good/bad movie/book to those who are not.
And speaking ofunspeakable horrors, Elon Musk will talk with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak later this week on an X-stream interview (Not sure who is interviewing who though), and so soon after Musk has fired the entire election integrity team at X, AND accused the Scottish First Minister of being racist. What could possibly go wrong?
Sad news on the loss of Matthew Perry who we will, in line with his preferences, remember him first for the work he did in helping othes overcome addition problems, even as he struggled and talked openly about his own... though he also had a career as a gifted comedic actor.
Doctor Who is confirmed to be coming back to our screens with the three specials, the first of which is being shown on November 25th!
But that is not all! On top of the 800 episodes from the classic series being made available free to stream on BBC iPlayer as of tomorrow (Dubbed "The Whoniverse"), a MAJOR surprise was announced last night!
Also as of tomorrow, a new 6 part series will be released on iPlayer (So far it seems exclusively, so sorry non-UK folk)! "Tales of the TARDIS" is something perhaps only Doctor Who could do, as we will see Classic companions (all played by the original actors) reunited with each other, and in some cases, with a Classic Doctor via a most unusual TARDIS! From the Hartnell years we see Steven and Vicki reunite, from the Troughton years, Jamie and Zoe, the inimitable Jo Jones (nee Grant) will meet up with Clyde from the Sarah Jane Adventures, we'll see Tegan and the Fifth Doctor meet, Peri and the Sixth, and Ace and the Seventh.
