In the comments to these weekly posts (and only these posts), it's your chance to go as off topic as you like.
Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.
The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.
Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.
It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using
the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.England is moving out of any Covid restrictions as of this Thursday, which I am sure is absolutely NOT a distraction technique from anything else, and so clearly everything is fine and we have no reasons to be concerned about the immuno-suppressed, care home workers, schools or the like oh, and they're removing access to free tests from pretty much everyone come April.
In a masterpiece of timing, near 96 year old Queen Elizabeth II has been confirmed to have contracted Covid.
Britain was also struck by
two THREE massive storms, Dudley, Eunice and Franklin, within a week days, and a fourth, Gladys, may be en route. What fun!
Any comment I could make on the situation in the Ukraine may sound glib and this is not a time for glibness on that front.
Marvel has showcased some of the toys coming from Thor: Love and Thunder, including LEGO kit for "The Goat Boat" and Hasbro figures of, amongst others, Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor.Miraculous Ladybug introduced it's last four Miraculous Holders in a single episode where the threat was... a soccer match?!? A bit random certainly, but fun. I mention this mostly for the fact that one of them is the Rooster Miraculous, so whilst the French hero resulting uses the name "Coq Courage", the English version gives us a name which probably had their lawyers double checking things as we were introduced to; "Rooster Bold"!
Star Wars fans (amongst others) were saddened to hear of the passing of Tom Veitch, perhaps best known as one of the architects of the Star Wars Expanded Universe in the 90's when he wrote the likes of "Dark Empire", and "Tales of the Jedi". He also wrote for Animal Man (after the Morrison run) and The Light and Darkness War (Also with his "Dark Empire" artists Cam Kennedy)
In the UK (and most of the non American world) today is Tuesday 22/2/22 (or even 22 02 2022 for those who appreciate not one but two palindromic date formats). So if anyone has any Two-Face plans to enact, today is probably your best bet (for the next 200 years at least, when it will be 22-2-2222), and might I recommend they occur at 22:22:22 tonight?
