There was no need for Zod to kill Hal Jordan. If he was anything like his main universe counterpart, he would have ended up taking himself out. It was a miracle he didn’t trip and knock himself out on the way to the launch.
Superman depowers the rest of the Kryptonians. Now comes the question of what to do with them after that.
Superman returns to his own Earth with the injured Matrix.
